X01 is a collective of operators at the intersection of AI, systems, and strategy. We are researchers, engineers, and analysts embedded across the industry — from frontier labs to applied deployments. The things we see and the patterns we recognize don't make it into press releases.

This is where we document what we're actually observing. The gap between announced capabilities and real performance. The infrastructure shifts that precede product launches. The strategic moves that only make sense six months later.

The name is an artifact from early compute clusters — X01 denotes the first instance, the prototype, the one that actually works. We are the operators who were there before the marketing teams arrived.
